SEL Curriculum for K-8 Learners Teaching Emotional Intelligence

Launched during the 2023-2024 school year, Lurnsters builds on the power of emotional intelligence through the development of a pilot program and partnership with Essie Academy, a private elementary and middle school in the United States. The partnership leverages proven best-practices, an immersive experience, and continual feedback from experts to create emotionally literate and responsible-minded kids.

STEAM

The curriculum integrates science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. It is designed to help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills.

EMOTIONAL IQ

Emotional education is used to instill social and self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making skills for success beyond the classroom.

PROJECT BASED

Students gain critical skills and knowledge they need to solve challenging real-world problems through dynamic in-class projects and experiential education.

Essie Academy and The Lurnsters: Fostering Emotional Intelligence for Student Success.

Essie Academy is a private school partnered with The Lurnsters, an online digital video-based platform that teaches emotional intelligence through interactive learning. This pilot program is designed to equip students in grades K-8 with vital social and emotional skills.
